Our Community
San Antonio has been good to us, as a company and as individuals. What we
give back to the community is approached in the same manner—we give as a
company and as individuals. Community involvement is not corporate policy, but
it’s a common thread of humanity and caring that is inherent within our people.
It’s further evidence of what amazing people we have working alongside us
every day.
Our employees support the Special Olympics, The San Antonio Stock Show
and Rodeo, The Ronald McDonald House, The San Antonio Spurs Foundation, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Texas Head Injury Association among other worthy causes. Additionally, CTP has been a Pacesetter with United Way since 1999. Although,
as a group, we support many charitable causes, but there is one that requires
further explanation and recognition:
Christy’s Hope is a charity near and dear to the hearts of everyone at CTP,
especially to our founder and the charity’s founder, Christy Prescott. Every
year hundreds of dedicated volunteers from CTP and its vendors and clients
come together for the annual golf tournament. Within seven years, Christy’s Hope has raised close to $300,000 to help eliminate family violence; the nation’s
number one crime and cause of injury to women. One hundred percent of the
event’s proceeds go directly to the Battered Women’s Shelter of Bexar County.
